Then the monsoon arrives with dust, sudden wind and bursts of heavy rain, and every weak joint gets tested in one evening. A roof that looks fine from the driveway can be worn out underneath, so we lift tiles, check seams and take photos instead of guessing.
Local rules shape the work as well. Many neighbourhoods have an association that controls tile and roof colours, and each city sets its own permit rules. We check both before we start and handle permits when a job needs one.
